Portia the spider

Some personal work from reading the novels - Children of Time (and Children of Ruin) by Adrian Czajkowski. Great imaginative reads if you want to check them out. I evolved the spiders to have gestural hands to talk via (palp) hand signals, and tapping the floor/web with feet, as I imagined them talking in my head.
Portia (from the latin for jumping spider) is the heroine of the book, never the same one - but a lineage of Portia from cave spider to space fairer! I have some more of these to post, but this is number one as fan art, with invented colours and some scale reference - can't wait to draw Paul. We're going on an adventure :)
